OUR MACARONS AND CAKES

      • As a general guidance, macarons and cakes should be eaten at room temperature. They will be ok to stay at room temperature for a day depending on the type of filling ordered. Please double check if you are not sure. Any leftover Macarons and cakes should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge and can last up to 4 days.

      • Our wedding cake customers can be given a cutting guide with their cake, which can be used to calculate the right number of portions they require. They can request this at the time of placing their order.

      • To bear the weight of the macaron tower, we will insert dowels in the base cake. Please remove the tower first, cut the cake and remove dowels before serving.

      • Please remove any non-edible cake decorations such as toppers or flowers before serving the cake.

      • We can provide a cake knife and server set if you require. You need to order these at the time of your first deposit.

    ALLERGIES

        • Our cakes and macarons contain dairy, gluten, eggs, nuts, soya, Palm oil and caffeine except special gluten free or dairy free or vegan orders.

          • Our kitchen is not an allergy- free kitchen, therefore we can’t guarantee that allergy-friendly cakes or macarons will not contain trace amounts of allergens due to the nature of production.

          •  If a severe allergy is known, it is the customer’s responsibility to inform that guest, not to eat the cake due to the possibility of trace allergens.

          • Bake Unique accepts no liability for customers suffering allergic reactions from eating our cakes or macarons.

          • It is the customer’s responsibility to make Bake Unique aware of any special dietary requirements that need to be accommodated in the making of their cake.

        ORDERING AND PAYMENT

            • Orders can be placed via e-mail, Instagram and Facebook DM, by phone or in person at wedding shows and events.

            • 25% of the total cost of the order is required as a deposit (booking fee) to confirm your order and save your date.

            • We accept payment by bank transfer or using card reader if the order is placed in person.

            • The remaining balance will be divided in two parts. 50% of the remaining balance is due 3 months before the delivery. And the final 25% is due one month before delivery.

            • Your date will only be saved once your booking fee is received.

          DESIGNS

              • Once the design and colour of the order is decided, it will be written in the order form which should be confirmed and signed by the customer.

              • At Bake Unique we will do our best to match any colour requests for icing and macarons, but we cannot guarantee the exact match as colours present differently in different materials.

            HIRE OF CAKE AND MACARON STANDS, HOOP AND FLOWERS

                • Hiring the Hoop with the attached flowers is just £20, but a security deposit equal to the value of the item, in this case £140 is also payable. This will be refunded in full once the item is returned to us in its original condition, three days after event.

                • Hiring flower ring is £20, but a security deposit of £60 is payable too which will be refunded in full, once it’s returned in its original condition, within three days after your event.

                • Hiring the macaron tower is £5. The security deposit of the tower is £20 which will be refunded in full, once the tower is returned in its original condition within three days after your event.

                • It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure that a suitable sturdy table is provided for the cake or macaron tower.

                • If the item is not returned as agreed or we have to collect it, then this deposit will not be returned.

                • If the item is returned damaged, this deposit will not be returned.

               DELIVERY AND SETUP

                  • Due to the delicate nature of our cakes and macarons and stands, we like to personally deliver and set up your cake at your venue. We can liaise directly with your wedding coordinator at your venue to arrange this, so it’s one less thing for you to think about! To do this, we need the contact details of your wedding coordinator.

                  • We charge 40p per mile plus time (however long it takes to deliver and set up). Our hourly rate is £14/h. So, as an example: A delivery in Ipswich area would normally cost around £25.

                  • Some orders may be suitable for collection such as wedding favours which can be discussed at the point of ordering.

                    • Responsibility for your cake or macarons passes to you once it has been collected from our premises. Bake Unique accepts no liability for any damaged cakes or macarons after they have been collected and delivered to the venue.

                    • Upon collection, cakes should be transported on a flat surface in an empty boot preferably on a non-slip mat. Please avoid putting the cake on a seat or a passenger’s knee as the angle can cause damage to the cake.

                    • On hot days it is recommended to travel with the air conditioning on or the windows open to keep the environment cool so that the icing or the fillings don’t melt.

                  Cake Storage

                      • Once our macarons and cakes are collected or delivered, please ensure they are kept out of sunlight and in a cool environment. They don’t need to be kept in the fridge before serving, but any leftovers need to be put in an airtight container and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.

                    Photography

                        • We reserve the right to use photos of our cakes for advertising purposes on our website, Facebook, Instagram and in any other advertising materials or platforms.

                        • We do not pass on your personal details to third parties.

                      CANCELLATION / POSTPONEMENTS

                          • All booking fees and deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable except in exceptional circumstances, for example, if we are unable to fulfil your order as agreed.

                          • Any changes to the design and colour of your cake and macarons need to be made two months before your event. Any significant amendments may incur an additional cost, and the balance will be adjusted accordingly.

                          • In the event of cancellation by yourselves, the charges are as follows:

                          • If you cancel before 3 months to your event, the charge will only be the non-refundable booking fee.

                          • If you cancel within 3 months to your event, the charge will be booking fee plus 50% of the remaining balance.

                          • If you cancel one month before your event the charge will be the full amount of your order.

                          • In the event of a wedding postponement, subject to availability, your new date will be accepted, and the charges will stay the same if your event is in the same year. For any postponements to the following year, there might be extra charges due to inflation and increase of ingredients prices.

                          • The refunds will be done to the original payment method.

                        EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

                            • We cannot be liable or responsible for any failure to perform or delay in performance of any of our obligations that is caused by any act, event or accident beyond our control.

                          REVISIONS

                              • We have the right to revise and make any amendments in these terms and conditions if necessary. However, you will be subject to the terms and conditions in force at the time that you place your order.

                            Complaints

                                • We will do our best to provide you with the best service possible and deliver your order as perfect as possible. However, if you are not satisfied with the result and you wish to make a complaint, please do so in writing along with relevant photos on the day of delivery. We will look into it and will take the necessary actions.
